Who can list a business on Big Bite Halal?
Big Bite Halal is open to businesses that are 100% halal or provide products and services specifically for the Muslim community. This includes halal eateries, cafés, bakeries, grocery stores, modest fashion retailers, Islamic centres, Muslim-friendly service providers and more.

To maintain the integrity of our directory, we do not approve:

  • Halal-friendly restaurants (eg. business that offer both halal and non-halal meats)
  • Businesses that serve alcohol
  • Businesses that do not align with our halal and Muslim-focused listing criteria
How long does it take for my listing to be approved?

Most submissions are reviewed within 2–5 business days. We’ll review the information provided before publishing your listing.

Why is my submission declined?

Your listing may be declined if it does not meet our directory criteria, contains incomplete or inaccurate information, duplicates an existing listing, or is not relevant to the Muslim community. If your submission isn’t approved, we’ll let you know the reason where possible.

Why hasn't my listing appeared yet?

Every submission is manually reviewed to ensure it meets our directory standards. If we require more information, we’ll contact you before approving your listing.

How do you verify that a business is halal?

We rely on the information provided by business owners during submission and may request additional details where required. Businesses must accurately represent their halal status. Big Bite Halal reserves the right to refuse or remove listings that do not meet our guidelines.
